Coming home

We decided to head home Wednesday afternoon, because Katrina was feeling pretty good, and we were looking forward to being together as a family. So we bundled Sally up and put her in one of her new prams (which took Tim about 10 min in the carpark to figure out how to unfold) and started wheeling her out. While Katrina was feeling reasonably well, the very slow walk from the ward to the front doors was far more demanding that she'd thought. Ever since then she's been tired and sore. A good reminder to keep taking it easy and keep up with the painkillers too! Tim has been a trooper, and Katrina is getting better at not feeling bad about asking him to do literally EVERYTHING.

More shots of Sally

As you can see, Sally didn't really enjoy her second bath either. We thought for a moment there she might have, but it quickly went pear-shaped. Oh well, we're sure she'll learn to love them.

These other shots are what she typically looks like post-feed. She either falls asleep with one arm above her head, Superman style, or sits there drunkenly, and resists all attempts to revive her. One of the favourite parts of our day because she's simultaneously adorable and laugh-out-loud funny.

Little Sally

Sally has had a big first 30 hours or so. The last of these photo's is fresh out of Mum's nice warm tummy, the first thing the surgeon said was "Isn't she a bruiser". She's enjoying getting to know Mum and Dad, but was less impressed with her first bath.

Isn't she gorgeous!

We thought we'd never see it...

All good things must come to an end. Last night we finally came to the end of the plastic wrap we've been using since we got married. That's right, it takes 2 people 3 and a 1/2 years to use 300 metres of BiLo Cling Wrap. We're a bit excited, because we get to chuck the jolly thing out, and start using the other plastic wrap that has been clogging up our cupboards...

Just thought you'd want to know.
